History of Tebag Elementary School 101830

  People believed that the only legacy that a parent can give to his children is a good education.In those days,where life was still so simple,the Barangay leaders with some parents who shared the same vision group together and came up with a very noble legacy.

With the effort of the different stakeholders,parents ,officials Tebag Elementary School  was realized.

It was January 1973 when the siblings -Romeo, Benny and their cousin Ray made a joke.With their creative minds, they printed on a piece of plywood a  plan  showing a school saying " On this site will rise a school" They posted the plan on a tree and told themselves that they will use the piece of land where they stood up at that moment to put up a school.After several days, with the generous hearts of Mr. and Mrs. Teodoro Soriano, they donated the piece of lot where the boys made their plan.Thus, Mr. and Mrs. Teodoro Soriano became the proponent lof this noble deed which resulted in the creation of barangay elementary school.

On April 1973,the Tebag Barangay Council led by late Capt.Pastor Barrozo with the Barangay Officials namely Dona Maria Eucapor,Dona C. Soriano, Don L. Tibigar and Don F. Cereno made a resolution asking permission to put  up a school in Tebag.It was on May 1973 that the resolution was approved. The land donated by Mr. and Mrs. Teodoro Soriano was the first location of the school.It is where the Home Economics building where the Garden House  Building stood up. It was through bayanihan
 process  wherein the school was build up.The post then were bamboos and the sidings were covered from weaved leaves of coconuts.Mrs.Natividad Fabia was the first School Head of the School together with the pioneer teachers namely Mr. celestino Eucapor, Mrs. Lourdes Aquino and Mrs. Revilla.The very first PTA President then was Atty. Elpidio Barrozo.

Before the end of School Year 1973-1 974, a popular contest was conducted.The money was used for the construction of 2 rooms P.T.A. Building.It was used as classrooms for Grade V and VI for the -School year 1974-1975.It was on the month of November 1974 when a direct form for Bagong Lipunan Buiding arrived through the help of Mr.Raymundo Soriano and Kgd. Francisco Mercado.The said building was finished on December 1975.

On January 1976, Mrs. Natividad Fabia was transfered to Macayug Elementary School, Mrs. Gloria P. Billote was the School Head then ..Due to the increasing pupil population, the PTA initiated a popularity contest to raise  money to purchase a lot from Mr.Dading and Mr. Domingo Barrozo for the extension of the school.This was done through the help of Atty Elpidio Barrozo, the PTA President, By then ,3 more classrooms were constructed.

On December 1978, The Tebag Elementary School was awarded the First Price Winner on the most beautiful and Cleanest School in Mangaldan.The school's five (5) building houses  seven (7) academic classrooms and one (1) Principal 's Office which also served as 
Faculty Room and Library due to the influx of enrolment and one (1)  building Home Economic building  to cater the needs of students.

   

 From 1990 to present, there were school administrators who were assigned to run the school namely

• 2. Mrs. Nelie De Guzman, Principal II (1992-1993)
• 3.Mr. Romeo M. Soriano, principal II ( 1994-1995 ),
• 4.Dr. Juan  Bautista, Principal IV (  1995-1996 ), 
• 5.Mrs. Melba  Velasquez ,Principal II (  1996-2003  ),
• 6.Dr. Luz Arguilla , Principal IV (2003-2007 ), 
• 7.Dr. Marilyn  S.  Aquino ,Principal II(2007-2010 ),
• 8.Dr. Gemma V. Naraja, Principal II  (  2010-  September  2013  ) ,
• 9. Dr. Eden D. Angeles, Principal II (September 2013-May,2018).
• 10.Dr. Domitila L. Mapa,Principal III ( April  2018-Present )

    At present, Tebag Elementary School is under a Principal III position DOMITILA L. MAPA,PhD, with ten (10) committed  permanent  teachers  :

      Today Tebag Elementary School is one of the promising and fast growing elementary school of Mangaldan,Pangasinan, With 260 enrolled pupils.

       Truly as Nelson Madela said, Education is the first step for people to gain the knowledge,critical thinking, empowerment and skills they need to make this world a better place. 
     

    The community’s educational improvements   and overflowing blessings are attributed to our Lord Almighty.
